Kellkoctions by K.E.M. Kreations
I'm sure you're wondering what's the deal with the name Kellkoctions? Well, my best friend, Tiffany, gave me the name and I love it! One day I decided to flood my Instagram with pictures of the drinks I'd made at home or a fancy drink I may have had out. After a few posts, I had friends reaching out to me for drink recommendations and recipes. Tiff said, "you should write a drink book." At first, I doubted myself. I didn't think I had it in me and secretly, I didn't think I could do it without my dad, but she kept encouraging me.

Kellkoctions Seasonal Syrups
It's my favorite time of year and I'm happy to be sharing some of my favorite flavors with you. The aromas of cinnamon, vanilla and peppermint are an instant indication that the holiday season has arrived.
Start your morning off with coffee and our special Holiday blended syrup

Empress 1908 Gin

Gin on the Rocks
This Gin is Royalty.
Gin straight up on the rocks!

Gini Hendrix
This very bright blue colored gin mixed with Kellkoctions sweet and sour makes a pretty purple hazey hue. Purple haze was made famous by the infamous Jimi Hendrix, hence the name, Ginny Hendrix.

Ginberry Sour
Gin mixed with Kellkoctions Sweet and Sour and muddled strawberries.

Orange Watermelon Mule
We used the Kellkoctions Bar Necessities Kit to make these drinks. By the way, if you've never had orange watermelon, you're missing out! It's much sweeter than red and pink watermelon.
Ingredients:
2-3 slices of watermelon
10 Mint leaves
1 ounce of Kellkoctions Sweet and Sour
2 ounces of Vodka
Ginger Beer
Kellkoctions brandied cherries
Add watermelon and mint to your cocktail shaker and muddle. Next add your sweet and sour then your vodka and shake for 30 seconds. In your glass or copper mug, add ice then pour in your drink and stir with your cocktail spoon. For the glass, we did not add ginger beer but we did garnish with a Kellkoctions brandied cherry. For the mule, we opened a bottle of ginger beer with our bottle opener then topped the drink with about 1 ounce. Garnish with a watermelon slice and lime.

D'Ussé Shots!
Everyone loves a good shot or two and women especially love a shot with a creative and provocative name. Let me introduce you to the "Cum in Your Mouth" shot. I know, it's dirty but it's one that every women will try.
Shot Ingredients:
5 ounces of Creme de Banana
4 ounces of D'Ussé (or any other Cognac)
Mix together in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Pour into a shot glass and top with whipped cream and a Kellkoctions brandied cherry. Our whip cream is homemade with Kellkoctions simple syrup, heavy whipping cream and Grand Marnier.
This recipe should make approximately 3 shots depending on the amount you pour in each glass.

Tequila Tuesday
On Tuesdays, we eat tacos and drink tequila.
Today's drink is our a margarita made with the pulp of our Mango Kiwi syrup.
Ingredients:
16 ounces of Kellkoctions Mango Kiwi syrup pulp
6 ounces of blanco tequila
4 ounces of Kellkoctions sweet and sour
2 cups of ice
Blend all ingredients in a blender, pour into a glass and garnish with a kiwi slice.
Kick it up a notch and add a Grand Marnier floater to each glass.

Kellkoctions Sangria and Peppers
It was over 100 degrees today and we did not want to make a heavy dinner or drink a hard drink. It was just too darn hot so we settled for a light charcuterie tray with Kellkoctions pickled hot peppers and a Mixed Berry Basil Rose Sangria.
Mixed Berry Basil Sangria
6 ounces of Rose - I used a medium body Rose for this
2-3 ounces of Kellkoctions Mixed Berry Basil Syrup
3 strawberries sliced
2-3 lime slices
Muddle your strawberry and lime in a glass then add ice. Pour your Rose and top with Syrup. Stir and enjoy!
Kellkoctions Pineapple Jalapeno Syrup
In honor of my dad, I always have his favorite things on the anniversary of his passing, and 2020 was no different. He loved a good margarita and spicy foods were his favorite. I combined the two and made spicy margaritas. This isn't like the other spicy marg I posted in the past. This one is made with tequila instead of mezcal. Both delicious in their own right but very different in taste.
Ingredients (makes 2 to 3 drinks):
4 ounces of Tequila
5 ounces of Pineapple Jalapeno syrup
3 ounces of Grenadine

Mix pineapple jalapeno syrup with tequila and float a shot of Kellkoctions grenadine to the bottom and garnished with jalapeno and pineapple slices.

I kicked it up a notch after playing around with the first drink. I salted the rim with a mix of course kosher salt and Tajin seasoning. Next, mix tequila, grenadine and pineapple jalapeno syrup and mix before pouring over ice and garnishing.

Brandied Cherries
Tired of the processed maraschino cherries and looking for something a little boozier and fresher? Try Kellkoctions Brandied Cherries.
These are perfect in drinks and on top of desserts.
Here, our customer, topped her apple pie with brandied cherries along with some of the juice from the jar.
Brandied cherries are available in 4oz and 8oz sizes.

Kellkoctions Lemon Thyme
Is the season for new summer flavors. Our lemongrass and lemon thyme are growing beautifully in our back yard so we decided to pair it with some fresh mint and ginger for this syrup. This is so good, I could drink it by itself.
Here I mixed it with Vodka and made a martini and garnished with a drop of Kellkoctions Grenadine and fresh lemon thyme. (2 oz Vodka, 1 1/2 oz syrup) If you prefer a more tart drink, add 1/2 ox fresh lemon juice.
This is also great mixed in lemonade or tea. Syrups are the perfect solution to sweetening iced tea.

Kellkoctions Mango Kiwi
Kellkoctions has a new flavor and of course we had to make a drink with it. We have many flavors that pair well with Vodka and Rum but this one is great in Gin.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 ounce of Gin
2 ounces of Kellkoctions Mango Kiwi Syrup
Mix all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and pour over crushed ice. Top with a splash of spritzer.
If you have kiwi, add a slice to your glass for garnish.
Gin can be substituted for Vodka or a light Tequila.

Frosé
Frosé - Frozen Rosé
Frosé is a wine lovers answer to slushy summer drinks. There is no right and wrong way to make Frosé but I will share some things you will want to know before you start. Your Rosé for this recipe should be a good Pinot Noir based Rosé as they tend to have a stronger more defined taste than lighter Rosés. Please remember, wine looses some of it's characteristics once frozen so the lighter Rosés as best by themselves.
1. Freeze two bottles of Rosé in ice cube trays. If you don't have ice cube trays, use tupperware bowls. (no need to go out and buy ice trays).
2. Once your Rosé is frozen, put all cubes into your blender and add 8 ounces of Kellkoctions Grenadine and a cup of fresh strawberries.
3. If you want it more on the boozier side, add in 4 ounces of a fruit flavored rum but remember, the more liquid you add, you may have to add in some ice to keep the slushy consistency.
I like to top each glass off with some fresh squeezed lemon or lime juice then garnish with strawberry and lime slices.

Sangria Anyone?
Who doesn't love Sangria on a hot summer day? We celebrated my wedding anniversary with a "game room" style gathering in my garage so we couldn't serve mixed drinks. We served the next best thing, Sangria and Rosé!
1st - we have a white wine based Sangria made with a bottle of Chardonnay and 1/2 a bottle of German Reisling. We add a cup of mango flavored Rum and 16 ounces of Kellkoctions Orange Rosemary Syrup.
2nd - we have a Rosé based Sangria made with 2 bottles of a Pinot Noir based Rosé and 16 ounces of Kellkoctions Mixed Berry Syrup and 4 ounces of Kellkoctions Grenadine.
I had a garnish station and everyone added either, raspberries, strawberries, lemons, limes, peaches, oranges and/or blueberries to their glasses.

Kellkoctions infused desserts
We decided we didn't want to drink our alcohol today and took our chances with infusing dessert - and it worked!
We made a cashew and almond ice cream and topped it with chocolate drizzle, infused whipped cream and brandied cherry sauce.
Brandied cherries and simple syrup from Kellkoctions.
Whip Cream Recipe
1 cup of heavy whipping cream
4 TBSP of Kellkoctions simple syrup
2 TBSP of Bourbon (or Rum, Grand Marnier, Coffee Liquor or Irish Cream)
Mix all ingredients and whisk like your life depends on it until you reach your desired consistency.

Sweet Bourbon
As a way to help women develop a love for Bourbon, I've been playing with recipes that I'm sure many will love. Bourbon is a tab bit smokey but it pairs well with sweet and sour mixes.
Ingredients:
2 ounces of Bourbon
1 ounce of Kellkoctions Grenadine
1/2 ounce of fresh lime juice
Mix all ingredients and pour over ice. This is garnished with our Kellkoctions brandied cherries.

Kellkoctions Simple Syrup Coffee
Our syrups are not just for cordials but for coffees and teas too.
Here is a simple espresso with almond milk and Kellkoctions Simple Syrup.
I filled a glass with ice then added almond milk followed by 1/2 ounce of Kellkoctions Simple Syrup then topped off with espresso.
If you like sweet coffee, add up to 2 ounces of syrup.

Summer Sensation
What do you do when you have a little of two syrups left? You combine them and make this wonderful drink.
3 oz Kellkoctions Strawberry Peach Syrup
3 oz Kellkoctions Mango Pineapple Syrup
6 oz Vodka
Mix all ingredients and pour over ice then add a splash of lime juice to each. Garnish with a Strawberry and peach slice.
This should make three drinks.
For a great non alcoholic drink, sub lemon-lime soda or seltzer water for the vodka.

Pineapple Coconut Margarita
Kellkoctions syrups are made with fresh fruit so this makes for the perfect margarita.
Ingredients:
3 ounces of Kellkoctions Pineapple Coconut Syrup
2 ounces of tequila
1/2 ounce of Kellkoctions sweet and sour
Mix all ingredients together and pour over crushed ice then garnish with a pineapple and lime slice.

Kellkoctions Mixed Berry Basil Syrup
I keep telling you that these syrups are not only good for cordials but for mocktails also. This is a two ingredient Sangria made with 5 ounces of sweet red or rose wine, 3 ounces of syrup and a few muddled strawberries, blueberries and lime. Spruce it up with 1 ounce of Grand Marnier.
For the mocktail, we put a Kellkoctions spin on a Shirley Temple - add Sprite, ice and a little Kellkoctions sweet and sour to a blender and blend till slushy. Pour into a glass and top with syrup then garnish with fresh berries and candy.

Sexy Martini
This recipe came about because my girlfriends and I were wanting a dirty martini but I only had sweet vermouth that day.
Ingredients:
2 oz Vodka
1 oz Sweet Vermouth
1/2 oz Kellkoctions sweet and sour
seasoned olives for garnish.
Remember this is a martini, so we are serving it in a chilled glass with no ice. Mix all your ingredients together in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for about 20 seconds then pour into your glass and garnish with olives.
This makes one drink - if you are looking to make 4 drinks like in the picture, multiple the quantities by 4.

Kellkoctions Manhattan
I turned a classic Manhattan into a Kellkoctions Manhattan by subbing out the simple syrup for my Orange Rosemary flavor.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Bourbon
2-3 dashes of Orange Bitters
1/2 oz Kellkoctions Orange Rosemary Syrup
1/2 tsp of Water
1 maraschino cherry and orange slice (for garnish)
Pour water, syrup and bitters into whiskey glass and stir. Add an ice cube then pour in Bourbon and stir. Garnish with cherry and orange and enjoy!

Mix all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously. Pour into a mason jar filled with crushed ice and garnish with a lime and watermelon slice.

Summer Spritzer (Non Alcoholic)
3 oz of Watermelon Mint Syrup
5 oz of Lemonade (we use Simply brand)
Pour lemonade into a glass filled with ice then add syrup. Stir and garnish with a mint leaf.

1 oz Peach Schnapps
1 oz Kellkoctions Grenadine
1 oz Kellkoctions Sweet and Sour
Mix all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously. Pour over ice in a tumbler and garnish with a maraschino cherry and a lime slice.
If you want to take a walk on the wild side, double your rum to 4 ounces.

Summer Iced Tea
Today (June 10)I found out that it is National Ice Tea Day but it's also my grandma's birthday so why not make a drink for the zoom call to celebrate. I took a tradition Long Island Iced Tea and flipped it upside down to make a refreshing and fruity "Summer Iced Tea".
1 shot bottle (or 1.5 oz) each of a fruit flavored rum, a fruit flavored vodka, tequila and gin. Get fruit flavors that pair well. I used Captain Morgan's passion fruit and Kettle One Peach Orange Blossom.
2 oz Triple Sec
1/2 of a lemon and lime, juiced
4 oz of Arnold Palmer
If you're serving like the picture, mix tea, triple sec and citrus juice then add in small liquor bottles and garnish with a lemon and lime slice.
If you are serving in a tall glass, mix all ingredients in a cocktail shaker then serve.

Strawberry Basil Sangria
This recipe incorporates two of my favorite summer drinks - Rosé and Sangria.
For this you'll need:
1 bottle of Rosé (b/c you are mixing this, doesn't have to be an expensive bottle
2 cups of Kellkoctions Strawberry Basil Syrup
1 cup of flavored Rum (I used mango)
1 each lemon and lime (slice half of each and reserve the other half for juice to add to the mix
6 strawberries sliced
1 apple, diced (optional - I like apple in sangira)
handful of fresh basil
1/2 can of sprite or lemon seltzer
Add fresh basil, lemon, lime, strawberries and apples to your pitcher and muddle. Add in liquid ingredients then stir. Pour over ice and garnish with apples and strawberries.
If you have time, make this at least three hours prior to serving and chill in the refridgerator.
Kellkoctions Blueberry Mint Syrup

Don't have time to make sangria this summer and looking for a quick two ingredient refreshing drink? Well add a few shots of syrup to some Prosecco and enjoy. Best served over crushed ice.

Syrups are not only for alcohol, enjoy it in your hot tea. My syrups also go well in cold tea or even sprite. Since it is a syrup, you don't have to worry about it not melting into your drink

Cinnamon Whiskey Sour
Ladies, do you feel left out when you're out with your man and he orders a whiskey neat? Well here's your answer. Cinnamon Whiskey Sour.
Ingredients:
2 ounces of Whiskey
1 ounce Kellkoctions Sweet/ Sour
2 TBSP of maple syrup
1 - 2 tsp of cinnamon
Mix all ingredients in a shaker then pour over ice. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.

The Epic One
My son wanted in on the drink making activities so here's his mocktail complete with gummy worm garnish.
This is made of approximately a 1 1/2 cups of frozen strawberries, 1 cup of lemonade along with 1/4 cup each of Kellkoctions sweet/sour, Kellkoctions simple syrup and Kellkoctions grenadine. Only add ice if the consistency isn't what you prefer.
Try this with blueberries, mangos, berry medley or any other fruit you like. It's a great summertime drink for the entire family to enjoy.
Want to turn this into an adult beverage, add 6 ounces of your favorite beverage and enjoy.
Side note: this is the name he picked for his drink
Kellkoctions Infused Syrup Martinis

Strawberry Basil Infused Martini

Orange Rosemary Infused Martini

Mint Ginger Infused Martini

Kellkoctions Syrup Infusions
Why buy syrups from the store with all the extra additives and ingredients you can't pronounce when you can order fresh herb and fruit syrup infusions from me.
This week's batch included Strawberry Basil, Mint Ginger and Orange Rosemary.
These are perfect in martini - 1 ounce of syrup to 1 ounce of vodka. I love citrus so I sometimes add a splash of fresh lemon juice to the top of my martinis.
These are also great additions to teas (hot or cold).
Reach out to me via Instagram @kreativelykellz or at kem.kemkreations@gmail.com to place an order.

Long Island Ice Tea
Only thing in this drink that is "tea-like" is it's color. With four types of alcohol in this drink, nothing about this is girly. If you're young and trying to get a quick buzz, this is your drink. It's super easy to make with equal parts gin, white rum, tequila and vodka along with Kellkoctions sweet/sour and triple sec with just a splash of coke for color.
Of course, I like mine with a cherry on top!
Best served in a tall glass full of ice. Try it and let me know what you think.
By the way, this is best if made with top shelf alcohol. I don't want anyone getting college wasted.

Blueberry Basil Moscow Mule
A good mule consist of a good ginger beer, vodka and lime juice. I like great, so a great mule has all of that plus some. This is my blueberry basil mule.
Ingredients:

fresh sweet basil (from my garden of course)
Ginger beer
Vodka
fresh squeezed lime juice

Coffee
Coffee Liqueur
Milk, I prefer almond or coconut
Top with whip cream (or course I have Almond whip cream)
Kick it up a notch and add in some vanilla or coffee flavored ice cream and cream liqueur for a frozen version.

Lemon Drop Martini
I love a very cold martini that is the perfect mix lemosn and lots of vodka.
Vodka
Triple Sec

15 ounce can of Crema de Coco (Goya)
6 ounce can of Pineapple Juice
6 ounces of Orange Juice
1 cup of Hennessy (I prefer White Hennessy)
2 slices of fresh pineapple, chopped
Mix all ingredients in a blender with ice until desired consistency is reached. Pour in glass and garnish with pineapple and lemon slice. I like to add a splash of lemon juice to the drink. ENJOY!!!!

Sangria Satudays
For this week's tasting party, Sangria was on the menu. We had margarita, blueberry and raspberry sangria.
Sangria is a Spanish cocktail that is a mix of wine, fruit, something sweet and your favorite liquor. My preferred white wine for sangria is Sauvignon Blanc but a good Pinot Grigio would also work. The key is to use a wine that you enjoy but not an expensive wine as you will be mixing in other ingredients.
Did you notice the @beadsmyselfeye bracelets in the pictures?

The Perfect Mojito
Regardless of your preferred flavor, you can't go wrong with a Mojito, especially if it's made with Don Q Rum. Pictured here is Pineapple-Coconut and Strawberry Mojitos.

What you add next is to be determined. Complete recipe will be in my book.

Miami Vice - your vaca fave
You'll need to make a batch of both pina colada and strawberry daquiri then mix together.
For the pina colada, you'll need coconut, pineapple and of course rum.
For the Daquiri, you'll need strawberries and rum.
Garnish your drink with fresh strawberries and pineapple.
The complete recipe will be included in my book.

Twisted Berry Lemonade
1 part vodka
2 parts lemonade ( I prefer to fresh lemon and lime juice)
Fresh Strawberries and blueberries

Sorbet
My son is not the biggest fan of "colored" veggies. He only eats greens (lettuce, broccoli, spinach, green beans, etc.) As a veggie lover, I decided to "hide" his veggies in his dessert and he LOVED it!
We call this recipe "Orange Delight"
1 Banana
1 cup of lemonade (we use Simply Brand)
2 Cutie Oranges
1 handful of baby carrots (these are sweeter)
1/2 Lemon, juiced
1/8 cup of honey
Blend everything in a high power blender/mixer and add ice to thicken mix. Enjoy immediately or freeze for another day!
